August 13 fights at
Cox Convention Center
The results...

The Friday Night Fights at the Cox Convention Center on August 13 were an undisputed, rounding success!

The capacity crowd witnessed catBOX fighter Oklahoma Lightweight Champ Noah Zuhdi (11-1) score a six round unanimous decision over former North American Boxing Association Champion Martin Armenta of Mexico.  Throughout the fight, Zuhdi demonstrated his technical boxing skills and handedly won each round, delivering punches with precision and power.  The judges scored Zuhdi's fight at six to zero, six to zero and five to one.

In the other co-main event, catBOX fighter Eric Fields (16-1) knocked out Harvey Jolly 2.37 minutes into the third round.  Fields dominated the fight from the beginning, rocking Jolly with repeated body shots which finally took their toll on Jolly, who is known throughout the division as a very tough and formidable opponent.

Another crowd favorite and catBOX fighter Ron Aubrey (9-2-1) fought a tough fight, scoring a draw against Denshio Cook (pro debut) of Stillwater, Oklahoma in a four round fight.  Cook, at 357 pounds, previously played defensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons and his college ball at OSU.

Zack McMillen scored a second round KO over Blake Warner 2.12 minutes into the round.   In the first round, McMillen was staggered several times by Warner but came back in an exciting slugfest to score the KO.

Acclaimed amateur Cordale Ford in his pro debut won a tough 4 round decision over Warren Walker (1-0, 1 KO).

Every fight was hotly contested.  The packed crowd at the Cox Center was wildly loud and enthusiastic over the well matched fights by master matchmaker Buck Smith.  The compliments on the fights Friday night have poured in, many commenting it was the best night of boxing seen in Oklahoma. The new venue for catBOX has proved to be the perfect set up and move for the company.  Next fights to be announced soon.
